Thank you for wanting to know a little bit more about me.
From the time I was a little girl and my father told me to look for the dancing elephants on the front lawn, I loved using my creativity and imagination (but I swear I may have seen the elephants once and am still on the lookout). I always knew that my career would involve writing, although it was not until I became a mother that I realized my true calling was writing for children. I enjoy writing in all genres, but I have a soft spot for picture books and non-fiction dealing with food allergies, as I have multiple food allergies myself.
In addition to my writing, I am also a freelance editor specializing in developmental editing for fiction as well as an author coach. I am a member of SCBWI New England, Women's Fiction Writers Association, and The Editorial Freelancers Association.
When I am not writing, editing or coaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy having dance contests with my sons and hope that they, too, never stop looking for dancing elephants on the front lawn.
